The DVSA reminds your customers to get an MOT. It doesn't remind them to come to you.

Rayner Garage Retention runs the automated reminders, missed call handling, rebooking and review requests that bring your existing customers back to your garage instead of whoever they find next. Built and integrated directly, not sold off a template.

Rolling monthly. Cancel any time. No 12 month contract.

How visible is your garage right now?

Type your garage name and get a live score for search ranking, reviews and profile completeness in under ten seconds. Ungated. What it can't see is your customer database, which is usually the bigger problem.

Does this sound familiar?

What garage owners tell us

  • The customer who'd been coming for six years and just quietly stopped. No complaint, no warning, just gone.
  • The phone ringing out while both ramps are up and there's nobody free to answer it.
  • The reminder system you bought two years ago that's still sitting there, never switched on properly.
  • A Google Business Profile you haven't touched since you set it up, with reviews trickling in whenever they feel like it.
  • Knowing your database is full of people overdue for an MOT, with no way to tell who or how many.
  • Being sold a 12 month marketing contract by someone who'd never actually worked in a garage.

What's included

Four components, run together

Customer retention

Automated MOT and service reminders, reactivation campaigns against your existing database, and rebooking flows.

Receptionist automation

Missed-call handling, booking flows and quote follow-up, so an enquiry doesn't die because both ramps were busy.

Google Business Profile

Optimisation and local visibility work on the profile you already have.

Review generation

Automated, compliant review requests to every customer, no filtering, no incentives.

How it works

Audit, build, run

  1. Audit

A free check of your public visibility and, with consent, your customer database against DVSA MOT records to find out how many past customers are actually overdue.

  2. Build

RGR integrates with your existing garage management system and sets up the reminder, rebooking, missed call and review flows around your real customer data.

  3. Run

The system runs continuously. You get a garage that reminds its own customers, on rolling monthly terms with no contract.

How it's different

Not another agency contract

Rolling monthly

Cancel any time. No 12 month agreement to get out of if it isn't working.

Built, not templated

Real integration with your systems and DVSA data, not a rebranded dashboard sold to every garage the same way.

Developer, not agency

Run by a software developer who builds the integrations directly, not an account manager reselling someone else's platform.

Compliance done properly

No review gating, no incentivised reviews. Both are against Google's rules. Every customer gets the same request.

Pricing

Free audit, £795 setup, £199/month

rolling monthly, cancel any time, no contract, written plainly on the page, not hidden behind a form. Software subscriptions are billed to you directly by the provider.

Frequently asked questions

What does Rayner Garage Retention actually do?

RGR configures and runs automated MOT and service reminders, reactivation campaigns against a garage’s existing customer database, missed call and quote follow-up handling, Google Business Profile optimisation, and compliant review requests. It runs the software your garage already has access to, correctly.

We already send MOT reminders. Why do we need this?

Most garages can send reminders. The software is cheap and commoditised. The DVSA’s own free reminder service already does this for every driver in the country, but it doesn’t send them back to you specifically. RGR builds the system that brings a lapsed customer back to your garage, not just to any garage.

Is there a contract?

No. Setup is a one off fee, then £199 a month rolling, cancel any time. There is no 12 month tie-in. Software subscriptions required to run the service are billed to the garage directly by the software provider.

How much does it cost?

Pricing is upfront: £795 setup, then £199/month, rolling monthly, cancel any time, no contract. The retention audit that comes before it is free.

Do you build a new website or CRM for us?

No. RGR integrates with the garage management system and booking tools a garage already uses rather than replacing them, and connects directly to DVSA data to identify who is overdue.

Can you guarantee review gating or filtering out bad reviews?

No, and no legitimate provider should offer this. Google explicitly prohibits gating and incentivising reviews. RGR sends every customer the same request, with no filtering and no incentives.

What happens to our customer data?

RGR acts as a data processor for the garage, provides a written processing agreement, and never shares or resells garage customer data. Full detail is in the privacy policy.

What’s the first step?

A free retention audit: RGR checks your public visibility and, with your consent, your customer database against DVSA MOT records to find out how many past customers are actually overdue and not booked in.
